Our Community and Who We Serve

Taahir’s Village is a nonprofit with a big heart, sparked by Taahir—a lively, spirited boy on the autism spectrum.

We’re all about building places where autistic kids and their families feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Whether it’s running workshops, putting up communication boards in parks and schools (so non-verbal individuals can let us know what they need), or just being there, we’re working to change how people see autism and make sure no family feels like they’re in it alone.

You Can Help Us Keep Going

We need your support to keep doing what we do—whether it’s finding a spot for our workshops, getting more communication boards out there, or throwing events like these. With the new administration shaking things up, families are going to lean on us even more. Jump in today—pitch in or get involved—and you’ll be helping kids like Taahir and their families build a brighter, more welcoming tomorrow.

About Taahir's Village

Empower Autistic Individuals And Their Families

We create programs and events that bring autistic individuals and neurotypical allies together, fostering mutual understanding. By providing support, resources, and inclusive activities, we aim to break the stigma around autism and promote the physical, emotional, and social growth of those on the spectrum.

A Safe Space For Autism

Our guiding belief is that with understanding, support, and love, every autistic person can thrive and every family can find a place of belonging.

Rewriting The Stigmas About Autism

We are a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to cultivating inclusive environments for autistic individuals while educating and empowering the broader community about autism.

Autism Communication Boards

Taahir’s Village has helped place these boards in playgrounds, parks, and even classrooms around our community. Now, a child who might struggle to speak can point to a picture to say “I want to play on the slide” or “I need a break,” and be instantly understood. These boards are a game-changer for nonverbal and minimally verbal kids – they make public spaces safer, more accessible, and truly welcoming for autism families.
